How Tetto94 became the #1 most-visible roofing brand in AI search
Tetto94 was mentioned in AI answers about Venice-area roofing, but Google, ChatGPT and Perplexity kept citing national directories instead of the company's own site.

Known, but not the source
Tetto94 is a roofing contractor in Venice, Italy, founded in 1994 (the name is literally the founding year). Ask ChatGPT or Perplexity about roof repair in the Veneto region, and the brand already came up in the answer before we touched anything. That part was never the problem.
The problem was where the platforms sent people next. Four of the top seven domains cited alongside Tetto94 were local directories, prontopro.it, edilnet.it, instapro.it, paginegialle.it, not competitors, not review sites. Listing pages that weren’t trying to sell the job Tetto94 could actually do.
We ran this as a 90-day engagement, late April through late July 2026. Everything below, the audit, the rewrite, the ranking, is what that quarter produced, not a weekend fix.
The sentence that changed
One rewrite did more work than everything else combined: the opening line of the site’s core pages.
Before: “Welcome to Tetto94. With over 30 years of experience serving the Veneto region, our family business has built a reputation for quality and reliability.”
After: “Tetto94 is a roofing contractor based in Venice, Italy, specialising in roof replacement, waterproofing and maintenance for residential and commercial buildings across the Veneto region. Founded in 1994.”
Thirty-eight words, entity, service, location and category all present, liftable verbatim into an AI answer. The original had no extractable fact until word twenty, “welcome to” and “reputation for quality” are sentiment, not information.
What changed on the ground
Four other moves ran alongside the rewrite. A comparison table went on the two highest-intent pages, listing approaches rather than only Tetto94’s own service. Entity naming got standardised, one spelling, one address format, one set of service labels, across the site, the Google Business Profile, and the four directories already citing the brand. Those directory listings got claimed and corrected instead of fought. And FAQ blocks went up using the exact question phrasing we saw in the tracked prompt set, not guessed phrasing.
Where the ranking landed
Tetto94 now ranks #1 for AI search visibility in its category, ahead of eight named local and regional competitors, two of them multi-branch operators with far larger sites than Tetto94’s own.
The five daily reports at the end of the engagement tell the same story as a curve instead of a snapshot: mention rate went from 25.3% to 71.3%, and the visibility score nearly doubled inside a week.
The citation math backs it up over the full 90 days, not just that final week. Citations per published page reached 27, against 4.4 for the largest local directory. Nine pages made Tetto94 the single most-cited domain in its own category, ahead of a directory with eight times the page count.
The directory lesson
We treated the directory corrections as a week-three cleanup task, after the content rewrite. It should have been the week-one priority. Fixing what four listings said about Tetto94 moved the visibility number faster than any page we published, and cost a fraction of the effort. It’s now the first item on the checklist for every local-service client, before a single new page gets written.
